How SnapKey works

1. Scan the QR code - On doors, lockers or technical rooms, a static SnapKey QR code is mounted. When the user scans the code with their smartphone: - SnapKey identifies the specific access point - Opens a secure access page - Guides the user through the access flow No app required. No login. No hardware boxes.

Enter the PIN code

The user validates themselves with a PIN code. SnapKey supports: - OTP codes (one-time passwords) - Time-limited PIN codes - Fixed user PIN codes - Delivery via SMS, email or integrations This makes the solution ideal for both permanent staff and temporary technicians.

SnapKey generates a virtual key

When the QR and PIN are validated, SnapKey automatically creates a virtual key on the user's device. If the user already has a key, it is updated with new permissions: - Access to one or more locks - Time-limited windows - Temporary guest keys - One-time access - Extended access levels The access rights are sent to the user's smartphone in seconds.

User opens the iLOQ lock – completely without battery

SnapKey is fully compatible with iLOQ S5 NFC locks, where energy is delivered via the user's smartphone. When the user holds the phone against the lock: 1. The phone delivers power via NFC. 2. SnapKey transfers the virtual key. 3. The iLOQ lock validates the permissions locally (offline). 4. The lock releases access if everything is valid. This means: - no batteries - no cable installation - no risk of downtime - extremely low total cost of ownership in operation

Automatic access expiration
